This photo essay is about three emergency doctors/mothers. It is about the invisible effects of 

burnout on healthcare givers. One of the mothers has long covid, which is invisible—though its effects 

are often tragic and long-lasting. We discuss the often-unspoken shame of not feeling good enough in 

our multiple roles as doctor, wife, artist, teacher, mother. We discuss forgotten dreams.
